よき弟子（でし）をもつときんば師弟（してい）・仏果（ぶっか）にいたり 
・あしき弟子をたくはひぬれば師弟・地獄（じごく）にをつといへり、師弟相違（そ

通解＝よい弟子をもつならば師弟はともに成仏し、悪い弟子を養（やしな）うならば 
師弟はともに地獄に堕（お）ちるといわれている。師匠と弟子の心が違えば何事も成 
就（じょうじゅ）することはできない。 
　 
 
(It is said that,) if a teacher has a good disciple, both will 
gain the fruit of Buddhahood, but if a teacher fosters a bad disciple, both 
will fall into hell. If teacher and disciple are of different minds, they
